ACADIA 2008

The Digital Design Consortium at our very own School of Architecture is gearing up for an amazing conference entitled "Silicon + Skin: Biological Processes and Computation" from October 16-19. Organized by site chair Marc Swackhamer and hosted by Jennifer Yoos and Aron Temkin, the event explores everything from the Digital Project by Gehry Technologies to Generative Components by Bentley.

Here's what sold me. The conference, "fosters design work and research from the worlds of practice and academia which lie at the intersection between design, biology, and computation." There couldn't be a more relevent topic in the world of design right now.
In the coming weeks, look for features on speakers, topics, and other conference news. Register in advance online or at MacNamara Hall between 9:00-9:30am on October 16th.
