Marc Swackhamer, assistant professor of architecture at CDes, has dedicated a bulk of his career to designing a wall. And this month's issue of Architect Magazine features his majestic mug, along with his partner Blair Satterfield. Their practice, HouMinn (a combination of Houston where Blair is, and Minneapolis where Mark is, pronounced "human") has been honored with the magazine's Research and Development Award for their Drape Wall/Cloak Wall, a super smart, constantly evolving idea for an alternative, modular wall system.
