In the Box: A Call for Entries

telluride house, vjaa

I remember once hearing Leonard Parker refer to the process of translating a project from the drawing board to the computer as putting it "in the box." But we all know many of our greatest ideas never make it out of the box or they just get lost in translation. So, in the interest of celebrating ideas in the digital world, we will feature one unbuilt project every month that embodies the highest level of visionary, idealistic, and innovative thought.

Submissions will be accepted on an ongoing basis with selections made once a month. The first will be featured in September 2008.

Eligibility: Open to all Minnesota architects, interns, and students
Submission Deadline: August 15, 2008
Form of Submission: 4-6 jpg's under 500k; 300 word description
Email submittals to: jdwyer@shelterarchitecture.com

A great idea. The AIA needs more support for those of us trying to get started and doing interesting work that isn't common place. Looking forward to the evolution of the AIAMN Blog.
