What Makes a Community Livable?


AIA Minnesota's Livable Communities - A Town Hall Forum event for mayors, civic leaders, architects and design professionals was held on September 21. With a line-up including Ben Lee, FAIA, Chris Coleman, St. Paul Mayor; Elizabeth Kautz, Burnsville Mayor; Ted Mondale, former Met Council Member; and presentations from the Minnesota Design Team, attendees got a comprehensive overview to begin exploring livable communities and encouraging dialogues for creating them in Minnesota.

Having the freedom to rent out parts of your house without harrasment from cities.

Also, not applying the exact same setbacks to old neighborhoods as new ones. This is troublesome, expensive, and unfair.
